About the Role

Esper is looking for an individual with a talent for relationship building who is technically savvy and can navigate a broad technical knowledge of Android, iOS, and Linux.  This role at its core will consist of leading project implementations and long-term relationship management whilst dealing with cross-functional internal technical teams to drive customer needs and resolve platform bugs.

The Technical Implementation Manager is accountable for enabling our customers to experience the full value of Esper Device Infrastructure by driving customer onboarding and feature enhancements. TIM’s are relentless customer advocates, knowing their accounts better than the customer knows themselves. They leverage this deep customer knowledge to drive expansion, Esper’s product direction, and more.

Job Requirement
Key Responsibilities

Technical Implementation
  • Lead small and large-scale implementations to allow companies to successfully integrate, and roll out devices on the Esper platform.
  • Project management across all functional teams to deliver large-scale implementations.
  • Run effective customer meetings with clear agendas and outcomes.
  • Hands-on with devices, MDM software, and facilitating technical blockers.
  • Conduct onboarding & training for accounts, providing training and resources to help them effectively use our software.

Technical Liaison
  • Serve as a technical escalation consultant.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on the implementation and configuration of Esper.
  • Produce accurate and detailed documentation outlining technical issues and resolutions.

Client Management
  • Build strong relationships with customers to understand their business needs.
  • Be an internal advocate for your customers and drive implementations towards success.
  • Identify opportunities for expansion using extensive knowledge of your customer and Esper products.

Internal Collaboration
  • Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to stay informed about the latest features and updates.
  • Work closely with the Account Management team to activate growth opportunities.
  • Help drive net new features for our key customers.
  • Be the customer champion and voice of the customer within the organization, advocating for their needs and driving improvements in our products and services.

What we’re looking for
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Technical Delivery experience
  • Ideally 2+ years in Sales Engineering/Technical Sales
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and client accounts simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a strong team player (i.e. flexible, hard-working, fast learner, self-motivated, and results-oriented)
  • Ability to travel once a month

Bonus Points if You have
  • Prior experience in the SaaS and MDM space
  • Android/iOS/Linux experience
  • Customer service/support experience
  • Experience working with devices (tablets, phones, kiosks, etc)
  • Previous Startup and Enterprise experience
  • Managed relationships with key partners or vendors
  • Ability to evangelize and represent a technical community
  • Effective collaboration with executive-level staff
  • Experience working with hardware partners such as OEMs/ODMs/VARs/3PLs/ISVs

This role is a hybrid role. Employees will be in the office at our Bellevue, WA location 3 days a week and remote 2 days a week.


Salary Band
$145,000 - $160,000 OTE
